On the last day of Winter, the 22nd of April, the Music Festival Heima (or At Home) will be held here in Hafnarfjörður. This is a great way to “meet the locals” as the musicians will be playing in private homes in the downtown area of Hafnarfjörður.
How it works
Admission fee is 4.900 ISK, and there will be 13 musicians and bands playing in different homes. Each concert takes 40 minutes and then you have time to walk to another home for another concert. It all starts at 7.45 pm and ends at 11 pm. Tickets are sold at www.midi.is.
Musicians are: Eivör Pálsdóttir playing with the band KK, the Brass Band from Þorlákshöfn, Berndsen, Jóhanna Guðrún and Davíð Sigurgeirsson, Dimma, Herbert Guðmundsson og Hjörtur Howser, Jens Hansson, Janis Carol, Langi Seli and Skuggarnir, Jón Jónsson and Friðrik Dór, Margrét Eir and Thin Jim, Emmsjé Gauti & Agent Fresco, Ragga Gísla & Helgi Svavar, Kiriyama Family.
