We can happily inform you we have opened Lava Hostel and Hafnarfjörður campsite for the summer. The sun has started to shine 24hours a day and that is in our opinion the best time for travelling, ice-cream and bbq in Iceland.
Our campsite does not need reservation and rooms at our hostel can be booked on our webpage or on booking.com we also offer mattresses in our big hall for groups of 15-45 persons.
We still have some dates available this summer at our hostel. The weekend 16-19th of June is a big festival weekend in Hafnarfjörður and Reykjavík. The annual Viking Festival will take place in Hafnarfjörður. The Viking festival is a family festival which mostly takes place at the Viking village and the it definitely should not be missed. Children can attend school for real Vikings and the whole family can see a Viking battle. The area can be easily reached on foot. You can see the program here.
Secret Solstice music festival will take place in Reykjavík during the same weekend. The festival area is easily reachable, only 10 min drive or one bus ride away. We still have some rooms available during the weekend.
